How Rekuvr handles your data.
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information Rekuvr collects, how we use it, and the rights you have under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Please read it carefully.
Rekuvr (“Rekuvr”, “we”, “us”) provides a training guide that keeps a per-muscle record of the workouts you log and shows it back to you. This policy covers the Rekuvr website and app.
Rekuvr is operated from New Zealand. You can contact us about privacy at support@rekuvr.app. A registered legal entity name and address will be added here once Rekuvr is incorporated.
We collect only what we need to provide Rekuvr:
Training and wearable data can reveal information about your health, which is sensitive. We collect health-related information only with your authorisation — for example, when you choose to connect a wearable.
You can withdraw that authorisation at any time by disconnecting the integration or closing your account. Withdrawing it does not affect anything done beforehand.
We collect and use your information only for purposes connected with providing Rekuvr, in line with the Privacy Act 2020:
What Rekuvr shows you is worked out from the information you provide, and the same inputs always produce the same result. It reports what you logged, how long ago you logged it, and how it compares with targets you selected; it does not measure or infer the state of your body. Our AI coach only explains those results in plain language and does not invent your data. Rekuvr is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Device connections are not available in Rekuvr yet. If and when you connect WHOOP, Apple Health, or another service, we will access only the data you authorise, and only to provide Rekuvr’s features. You control these connections and can disconnect them at any time. Those services have their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Rekuvr, under arrangements that require them to protect it:
Some of our providers may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected by comparable safeguards, consistent with the Privacy Act 2020.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and after that only as long as needed for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated information.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat health and training information as sensitive and design accordingly.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
If you are in a country whose privacy laws give you additional rights (for example the United Kingdom or the European Union), those rights also apply to the information we hold about you. Contact us at support@rekuvr.app to exercise any of them.
Rekuvr is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy as Rekuvr develops. We will post the updated version here and, for significant changes, let you know.
